As a qualified Club Development Squash Coach, I am able to plan and supervise the training of players of a wide range of ages and abilities to reach their potential. It doesn't matter if you are an absolute beginner or a state level player, I can help you get your squash up to a higher level.
As part of the accrediation process I have undergone the following trainings and certifications:
Community Coaching Guidelines
Working With Children Check (SA Government)
ASADA Level 1 Anti-doping Training
Squash Rules Exam
Coaching Philosophy and Tools training
I can provide one-on-one coaching as well as coaching for dedicated groups. Coaching can be done from any location, though being based in the North-Western suburbs I prefer Rackets & Strings (aka West Adelaide Squash Centre).
Squash, like most sports, requires solid technical and tactical aspects to be played well. There is no point having a great technique if you play the ball to the wrong place. Similarly, there is no point knowing where to hit the ball if you don't have the technical ability to play the ball to that location consistently. I teach both aspects so that you, as a player, can get the most out of this great game.
It is my goal for students to improve their squash as quickly as possible (without compromising long term improvement), and so as part of my coaching I provide "homework" of sorts for those that wish to make use of it. This homework allows you to go from the session with something to practice, even if it's with a racquet in your hand in front of the TV at home.
Prices are exclusive of court hire:
One-on-one coaching starts at $40/hour.
Groups of two start at $25/hour per person.
Send me a message for larger group pricing. Discounts are available for students.
